Reflective glass modifies the optical properties of glass by depositing one or more layers of films such as metals (e.g., chromium, nickel, titanium, etc.), metal oxides (e.g., titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, etc.) or nitrides on the glass surface. This enables the glass to have a high reflection ability for solar radiation and achieve the required color and shading coefficient.
Note: Reflective glass does not have low – emissivity properties. Its energy – saving effect can only be demonstrated during the daytime in summer when there is strong solar radiation.
Reflective glass allows for the selection of various shading coefficients as needed, effectively reflecting solar rays. This makes sunlight softer and indoor temperatures cooler during sunshine hours.
A wide variety of colors can be customized, and the color saturation can be extremely high.
Some heat – reflective glasses with high reflectivity can prevent the view of the indoor scene from the outside. The side facing the light has the characteristic of specular reflection.
