This fire-resistant glass is manufactured by applying a special fire-retardant solution onto the surface of float glass, followed by tempering. Tempering enhances the glass surface’s resistance to thermal shock and mechanical strength, while the fire-retardant coating reflects heat during a fire and forms a protective layer on the surface, delaying glass breakage at high temperatures.
